Every journey has a beginning. Ours began beneath the shade of a Sal tree in Sambalpur Zoo on 7 May 2023.

 

There was no grand stage, no elaborate event, only a circle of eager children, a few community members, and the timeless magic of storytelling. What unfolded that day was more than a storytelling session. It was the discovery of a simple yet profound truth: stories can change the way people think, feel, and act.

 

The enthusiasm, imagination, and heartfelt response from children and the community inspired us to dream bigger. That single gathering became the foundation of a growing movement, one that believes meaningful change begins with meaningful conversations.

 

Since then, Story for Change has been sharing stories that inspire youth leadership, promote peace and justice, and nurture a deeper connection with our environment and ecology. Through every story, we seek to spark curiosity, build empathy, strengthen communities, and inspire people to become active changemakers.
